Why you should join Joshua Creek Residents’ Association?
Joshua Creek Residents Association is a non-profit volunteer organisation promoting the exchange of information on community issues and pursuing perspectives on, and solutions for, issues which affect our neighbourhood. As a resident association our focus is on a broad range of issues such as what will happen to the Chisholm school property, the proposed recycling facility beside Holcim (St Lawrence Cement), roads, neighbourhood safety, the New Hospital.
We urge you to consider becoming a member of JCRA. The annual fee is $20.00 per household per calendar year. We use your membership fee almost solely to support maintaining communication with members. You can register and pay on-line using PayPal or print the registration form and mail it with a cheque to: JCRA, PO Box 61031, Maple Grove Station, Oakville, ON L6J 7P5. We would love to hear from you whether you have any issues, suggestions and/or interest in supporting specific committees or offering specific expertise to JCRA. Our Directors have formed a number of committees, but we need more involvement from members in our neighbourhood to effectively do research and create results that will benefit the Joshua Creek community. Time commitments vary and are flexible to both day or evening.
The different committees are:
Any of our committee chairs would be happy to contact you to give more detailed information on each committee’s task if you so wish.
We understand that not everyone can attend meetings, or do extensive volunteer work. Through our resident association you can choose whether you want to get actively involved or whether you want to stay informed on the issues at hand.
With your support and help we will protect and promote your interests and alert you to changes that may affect our area.
